We had such a wonderful brunch at this humble and welcoming Japanese restaurant. Decorated with much influence from Japan, from the wall to the cutleries to the bar. It was like we were transported to Japan for a moment. Emily who served us was highly informative with the food and we ordered all of which she had recommended and boy, they didn’t disappoint either! She was friendly and smiley – such a lovely lady!

Beautiful presentation of food but kitchen is slow in getting food out. We had a group dinner where 2 of them had feed me menu and the rest of us just had one mains each. Unless it’s because it was the feed me menu slow us down , nearly 60 minutes to get our mains. Recommend if feed me menu must apply to whole table … very slow for one dish

We had an amazing lunch at Donburi House today. The staff was super friendly and made us extra veggies that wasn’t even on the menu. The food was just so lovely. I swear I could have double the amount cuz it’s that good! Highly recommended, especially at noon when it’s not too busy. I read a few comments saying it’s really busy during dinner time. Well I can’t tell. But at least it’s a perfect experience at noon. LOVE IT!

Desserts were delicious but our mains were a little hit and miss between v. good and okay. The waitresses were lovely and helpful but some meals arrived when others were almost finished. Bringing out meals at roughly the same time is important when you are eating a a group.

They really need to update their times. We arrived at 12 (all signals says open at 1130) on a Saturday to have lunch only to find them closed. 3 staff were sitting at a table on their phones. If there were an issue and you legally couldn’t open, at least write a sign and paste it on your door. Even better, post it on your social media (could see you on Facebook on your phones) so people don’t waste their time driving down. Would have loved to give your restaurant a chance, but not inclined too after this.

The atmosphere is so lovely and the service is always amazing!! The food is just as good, and it makes me wish I was in Japan. They’re always attentive, takes care of us, and they have an amazing selection of drinks too (from wine, sake, gin, and whisky). The Donburi House has definitely become a regular restaurant for me.
