Fabulous experience with our family! The food was DELISH, and we were blown away by the kind service from Janet and the team. Very attentive and friendly 🙂 Our son has severe allergies and Janet was so helpful in guiding us with the menu, whilst also making amendments to some of their dishes so he could eat most things! Everything came out in a timely manner so it worked well for the kids leading into bed time. We can’t wait to head back and make My Yen a regular spot!

I had to say the food was a pleasant surprise because I didn’t expect much after reading mediocre reviews when friends suggested this place. Most dishes were well seasoned with fresh ingredients. The menu has extensive choices but some special dishes request preorder at least one day in advance, which is what we plan to do when we return. The staff were friendly but way too busy. The kitchen might be understaffed too on the night as food took quite long to be served.

Authentic Chinese cuisine at its delicious best! Outstanding dishes included the Crab Claw, Salt and Pepper Squid, Bean Curd stuffed with Prwan meat and the Seafood Fried Rice. Complimenting the very enjoyable and flavoursome food was friendly and efficient service from our waiter. We will be back!

Have eaten from here quite a few times, tonight’s order however was terrible. Black pepper beef tasted like it had no black pepper but instead had tomato sauce on it. Beef kway teow had no wok flavour, or really any flavour. Under seasoned. Salt and pepper pork was ok, honey prawns was ok but prawns were small and batter was falling off.

As I have no car, I was forced to use Uber. I threw out most of the food. My order was “crispy” skin chicken with plum sauce & vegetable tempura. The chicken was too thick & chewy + the skin was about as crispy as custard. The tempura had pieces where the batter was floury still & other pieces were swimming in oil. On Chinese New Year, an extremely disappointing (& hugely expensive) experience. Had I dined in the restaurant & they served this to me, I’d have walked out!

We found our visit to the restaurant not a pleasing one and a decision maker not to return. Firstly the fried rice was just rice with 3 prawns and half a dozen peas. It was very disappointing. The meals came out loaded with onions and very little of the primary dish. Service staff were short and abrupt and attempted to clear whilst meals were clearly not finished. Obviously staff wanted an early night! Following service delivery, a couple of fortune cookies were tossed on our table and the table beside us. Then vacuuming commenced. Lovely ambiance! Tables were still eating and it was well within opening hours. Having read the reviews, we had high expectations. We left with the opinion that it must have been the staff who had wrote them! For the prices, there are much better Chinese restaurants in similar locations.
