Was a pretty cool place to eat in Mackay. Service was not to inviting or efficient. Only had one guy on so…. Food was good but honestly could have been a bit better, my shell was very soggy don’t think thry needed all the juice from the meat they cooked to go in it. Never got asked how it was or a refill on my drink. Sorry didn’t live up to my expectations coming from the US and all.

Burgers are good except for the beef patty….which taste like cheap frozen store-bought patties. The cheesy garlic bread was nice. Service was satisfactory. The furnishing and decor was cool, felt rustic and travels back in time.

Ordered a Salt And pepper calamari Cesar salad and cheesy bacon garlic bread. Garlic bread was a good size and delicious but the salad had 1 egg in the corner mostly lettuce with large pieces of bruschetta and 5 small pieces of soggy calamari not what I expected especially for the price.

Food quality was average at best. Wings were dry and tasted as if they had been re-heated. Second batch of beef ribs tasted as if they had been boiled and lathered with sauce.All you can eat Ribs and Wings not fully explained and they came with a large amount of fries. When we wanted to order more Ribs they expected us to finish the fires. Service was sup par for a restaurant that had no other customers, but us, at the time. I will probably not return.

Feels like a pop up restaurant. No booths and small tables. Ribs had a very strong porky flavour and unable to taste the Smokey BBQ sauce. Charge $2.20 for sauces! Complimentary sauce should come with Ribs and steaks. Generous serving sizes. Hot and fresh. Refuse to split bills!? This is the year 2019 and you are not 5 Star White table cloth restaurant, it’s not that difficult. Table water would have been appreciated. Made it feel like an upscale takeaway restaurant like Burger Urge (next door) by not following through with the service. Price is expensive for the service that is received. Not bad but could definitely improve.

Delicious ribs are supposed to be pink on the inside and just fall off the bone. These ribs were not that, unfortunately. The beef ribs were overcooked and tough nearly to the point of frustration. Overpriced for the portion size I thought. I also thought $10 for a standard Budweiser is overpriced too. The only positive was my partners lamb ribs. They were properly cooked, tasted great. I’d heard nothing but good things about this place which means I will not put this place down after just one poor meal. When I return to Mackay I will try the food here again and we will see. Big improvements are needed though!

Great food and atmosphere. Unfortunately the service let me and my family down tonight. Ordered drinks and had to keep asking the waitresses where they were. Main meals came out before the garlic bread and the garlic bread wasnt ready when we asked for it after our mains arrived.

Menus were in a terrible state, needed to wash your hands after reading them. Staff very uninterested, food just average to poor. No meat on the chicken wings, ribs needed to be cut not able to pull apart. And pork was dry and not edible. Restrooms badly needed attention. Coffee machine was broken and they had run out of peanuts that were advertised as for free for every table. Not an enjoyable experience overall.

Where do I even start…do t waste your money or your time! we went to Lone Star to celebrate my birthday and to be honest a one star rating is still too much. Firstly our soft drinks were flat . I had to return my drink and ask for it to be made again only to be told that’s just how it is?! I then asked for a raspberry soft drink which was also brought out to me flat. My partners mother’s soda water with lenon was also flat. My partner and I ordered the half rack of pork ribs and they were undersized, and over cooked. The chips were also awful. My partners mother ordered chicken wings which tasted like they had been deep fried then covered in BBQ sauce. They tasted like oil and were dry and tough. When we went to pay the bill I told the waitress we would not pay for flat drinks and that the food was extremely disappointing. NEVER in my life did I think I would have to argue with restaurant staff as to why they should not sell flat soft drink! It was like talking to a brick wall. The waitress said that what I was saying was just my opinion, yes it was but it was also a fact. They do not care what they serve you and they will not take any complaints seriously. “We receive complaints all the time and we are just used to it now”. Disgusting customer service, we will NEVEE go back!

Staff are basic, but all you can eat ribs for $29.95 is amazing. Bit to much fat on the lamb ribs (but that’s common), chicken wings were the bomb! And the pork also would definitely go back next time I pass through.
