Charcoal Fish’s mission is to make restaurant quality, charcoal grilled Australian fish accessible as a takeaway option. Dine in or takeaway available. Whole Aquna Murray cod is cooked on the rotisserie (with stuffing) over charcoal and cooked until crackled to perfection. The showstopper is our butterflied boneless Murray cod cooked over the smoky charcoal grill, available as a whole fillet, half, quarter and single serving. Seasonal salads, charcoal-grilled vegetables and chips round out a perfect fish meal.

Enjoyed the fish tacos, yummy salad, and sauce with it. Would prefer no batter on fish, but at least it’s a light tasty batter. Not cheap, however the food is rich so you can’t eat much. The salt and vinegar potato scallop is a bit thick with the potato, so a little doughy. Would also be good to dip in vinegar as the taste of it I’m the batter is not strong. Nice food display and set up. There are not many seats and gets popular at lunch for eat-in and takeaway.

Love the concept of a sustainable restaurant utilising almost all of the fish. Tuna burger was amazing, taste just like a normal cheeseburger and would definitely recommend. Also would recommend the fish and chips, fish was nice and crunchy and not overly battered, and the chips were amazing. 8.5/10. Charcoal mackerel had plenty of flavour and also amazing!!

Best fish and chip, and scalloped potato in my life and a good house branded beer too. I am from Melbounre and really wanted to try ice cream but it was not available and Tote bag was sold out too. A little shame but it is well worth to come and try out. The service was restaurant quality in fish and chip shop, which is unreal too. Successful business has serious reasons!!

If you don’t order a tuna burger with the Murray cod bacon you’re missing out. It is the star dish of the place and will remain the best fish burger I’ve ever had. 100/10

A lot of people told me this the best Fish and Chip shop in Sydney and they are right. Every item just screams umami and flavour bomb. Im not a big fan of salads but their Fried Eggplant and BBQ Brocolli sald were freaking amazing. The best item on the menu is the BBQ Cod fillet. Juicy cod steak with crispy skin and hints of soy. But warning, it is not cheap. Almost $30 for a roughly 150g piece of Cod is kinda up there.

I had the pleasure of trying the fried fish at Charcoal Fish Rose Bay today, and it was an absolute delight! The fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The flavor was outstanding, and the seasoning was just right. The staff were friendly and the ambiance added to the overall wonderful experience. I can’t wait to come back for more of their delicious fish dishes! Highly recommend!

Great spot to stop by after a walk along the coast. The tuna burger was great (although a little expensive). Also tried some of the vegetable sides they had in offer and was impressed. Also to note seating is relatively limited.
