Very yummo food! I didnt know this restaurant exist in Hunter. Love it. Booking is essential over the weekend. Enough parking space. Indoors and outdoors, nice ambience. Again, food was so yummy. And very expensive. I mentioned expansive not for the quality, its for the quantity. Well, still I managed to make myself full with bigger bill. For this price of food, I would expect more trained waitress/waiter to serve us. It’s a very little thing, for example, we ordered our drinks and the waitress just dump on the corner of table not giving it to individuals. Food was served in timely manner.

We made a booking, only to turn up and they had no table ready for us, once they seated us,she explained they are under staffed, yet managed to fill up most of the restaraunt ! reading through the limited food menu, you’ll find in very small print, CASHLESS VENUE! now upon booking this was not mentioned, and if one doesn’t read the fine prints you’ll never know what you’re in for.

Fantastic! We have special dietary requirements that are difficult for normal chefs to cater for – gluten free, dairy free, sugar free – but this was no problem at The Wood. Even with the set menu, we were looked after so well! Even the dessert we got was made specially for us and it was the best we have ever had. A fantastic night out and definitely worth the money.
