Wow! Great value for money and delicious food. We got karrage chicken, edamame, 2 bowls of ramen and a soft friend for $65! The karrage chicken was so tender, it was delicious. The staff were good and atmosphere was nice. We were a little distracted with the tv being on at dinner – new thing for us haha. But the overall experience was amazing. The ramen was so good. Highly recommend trying the tonkotsu! We’ll be back. @kirbystaltari

Food is great! The only thing I would say needs improvement is the authenticity of the eating experience. There is a massive 85” screen that was playing the golf which I felt took away from the true Japanese ramen experience. The bar has a lot of unused utensils as well. We’ll definitely be back as the food is great!

First time coming back after a long while and I was left utterly disappointed. My ramen lacked salt, flavour and spring onions. Not sure if they eggs were actually eggs?? Not sure why there were meatballs? that were tasteless in the ramen. I left half the bowl uneaten. Waiting staff were unsure what they were serving to customers, much to improve on.

This is not your typical Japanese restaurant – it’s SO much better! The Ramen is amazing – rich and flavourful. The ala carte items are prepared fresh -within view if you choose to sit at the bar (recommended for couples and a small group of four). Beautiful, fresh, authentic – love it.

Overpriced ramen but under seasoned. Was a bit disappointed as I was really craving for a good ramen. I was expecting more toppings and flavour given the price.

I found everything to be quite overpriced. Ramen tasted great, but I was expecting to get more than one piece of meat for the price. I don’t recommend the small dishes here, so I would only come for ramen. The fried chicken wings were over-cooked and there were only 4 for a whopping $11.

Everything was great and the service was good, too. A small joint with lots of Japanese decor make it feel authentic. We had 9 dishes between two of us and that’s more than enough. Ramen, chicken heart and chicken karaage were the top dishes. Beef tongue was a bit tough and it may just be slightly overcooked. Other dishes are all above average.

A decent and tasty ramen and yakitori spot in North Adelaide. I have found the tonkatsu ramen broth to be flavourful with its strong pork-bonito broth but was left disappointed with the small ramen serving! Moreover, even though the yakitori was tasty, the portions were just too small and the pricing was way overpriced! Tuno izakaya, is a decent Japanese experience along North Adelaide however it’s portion sizing and pricing (of the yakitori) drags down the awesome-tasty flavours served!

The most terrible Japanese food I have ever had in my life. I ordered black garlic ramen, fired chicken, dumplings on Uber. None of them are acceptable… the ramen is no flavor at all. I have had countless black garlic ramen in my life and none of them is like this. Even the fires chicken is a disaster. It’s not crispy at all. Hard to chew and taste like rubber.

New review June 2020: still my favourite place in Adelaide to get tonkotsu ramen. The broth here is perfect for me – nice and thick with plenty of flavour, but not too oily. Spicy miso ramen is also pretty good! Noodles have a good consistency. Their grilled things are pretty good too, although there are probably some better options here in Adelaide. But if you’re here for their fantastic ramen, might as well order some other stuff too!
