Perfect for dinner dates and small family and friends reunions. Very nostalgic and homely environment with friendly staffs. The food is well presented and tasty. This restaurant is definitely my go-to place whenever I cannot decide what to eat.

A cute little Japanese restaurant in North Adelaide. The Kitsume udon felt warm and homey, exactly what I needed on a cold winter’s night, and the sushi was fresh. Service was a little slow but very friendly.

Top quality food and fair pricing. This restaurant is cosy and the staff are accomdating and warm. We couldn’t order what we wanted because they don’t over order and will run out of things – but I much prefer that over stores that keep unfresh food around. Eel was great

Great food (fresh salmon was especially good), and very accommodating service. We were in a little hurry, and the staff were excellent at speeding out our food; super nice and professional.

Wait staff very friendly and accommodating. First time dining with them one evening. Was asked if I had reservations. I told the wait staff I didn’t have one–and didn’t realize I should have booked? But had been accommodated and given a seat. Enjoyed the food. Authentic Japanese cuisine/menu. Choice of traditional Japanese seating or normal chair and table seating. Provision for outdoor seating as well. Menu is varied.

We had half an hour to eat. They gave us a table straight away even though we hadn’t booked for a Saturday night. The wait staff were so friendly and attentive to our short dining time we had. They made sure we had our order in before the other big groups. Food came out so quick and it was so delicious! Highly recommended!

Went there for the lunch specials, quite large servings and decent in pricing. The dishes eaten was the hamburger steak bento + miso soup and the karaage (fried chicken) ramen. The broth of the ramen was garlicky, smooth and deep in umami flavour and the noodles were cooked just right, not too firm and not too soft, with enough chew to the bite. The egg was soft boiled, 5 fried pieces of chicken, wakame (seaweed), naruto (fish cake), nori (dried seaweed) and some spring onions to garnish. Very simple but straight to the point. Solid ramen 10/10 can’t go wrong with it. As for the bento, the hamburger steak was juicy, with the perfect onion to meat ratio. In addition the demi glace sauce was delicious too. The rice was a tad over cooked and soft but no biggie. The Bento had the standard pickles, 1 takoyaki, 2 side dishes (potato and eggplant), as well as a scoop of potato salad, a tamagoyaki (fried egg [slice]) and salad (the salad dressing was spectacular!!). The miso soup was good too. There is a nice range of Japanese beverages from whisky to beer. My partner had the white ale and I had grape soda. Very tasty!! Service was very prompt, waiter who served us was polite and kind. It seems as though this place is run by a family of Japanese folk. Hence the interior design of the restaurant is very similar to what you see in Japan. Overall, delicious and had good vibes 10/10 would recommend.

Lovely, authentic family-run restaurant. The sashimi was outstanding and the “banquet” options are very good value. Also enjoyed the humour (see T-shirts).

Delicious, well cooked Japanese food. Loved it. Great service, and busy on a Monday night is a great sign. Excellent value too, including wine that’s not overpriced.

Delicious food with the reasonable price! Cozy and nice moods, especially I feel like their lunch time and the dinner time had different moods which means you should visit there for both lunch and dinner time to enjoy this restaurant fully. Also the staff is nice all the time I visited. Love here. 🙂
