I remember coming here about 9 or so years ago and really enjoying the vibe and the food, albeit a bit expensive at the time. Having recently revisited, the pricing now seemed more reasonable in line with inflation, and was delicious! Great service, and the atmosphere was vibrant even on a rainy Wednesday evening. A chapel St staple for good reason.

We ordered the “super” set meal. I liked the idea that all small dishes were served at the same time for each course. The only thing was the fried chicken tasted really bad when it got cold (probably 5-10 mins later after it’s served). I wished the attendance could have told us that so we would have started from the fried chicken.Overall, the set menu has a good value of price. I will definitely recommend to my friends.

The place has very hipster decoration & good modern JPese food. The chicken main course was a bit subpar but everything else was great. Should definitely get Kingfish sashimi & Salmon Poke bowl.

Fantastic Japanese restaurant on chapel st south yarra. Great service, range of food items and drinks. We enjoyed the tataki, fried chicken, pork belly bao and tartare the most. Some very tasty cocktails. Will return definitely!
