Popped in here for a quick beer and some chips. There is no table service at all. You go to the bar to order and you’re given a buzzer that goes off when your food is ready for you to pick up. Surprisingly smoking is allowed outside. So if you are wanting to sit outside and enjoy some people watching be prepared to deal with all the cigarette smoke. We had the onion rings and chips. Both came with plenty of sauce. They were not served hot and I don’t think the oil they were fried in has been changed for a while or wasn’t hot enough. I looked at the food on other tables, there seems to be something to meet everyone’s taste. I probably wouldn’t go back here. It draws a very old lag looking crowd.

No ordering at the tables outside. No QR code ordering. 15% loading on public holidays. $120+ for family of four one drink (2 pints and 2 soft drinks for kids). 45 minutes plus for food (5 minute wait on checking where our order was). They shut the lunch service down, “too busy”. Place only about half full. bar staff pour beers and soft drinks putting the tap end in the liquid in the cup.

It was a quiet night, but we didn’t feel like we were an unwanted arrival, being just before the kitchen was due to close. We even asked for a last minute addition to our pizza, and it was no problem. Being a quiet night, is the reason for a 4 star atmosphere, usually it’s a 5 star venue for great entertainment and atmosphere

I stopped in there today for lunch. With every pub/hotel I go to, I like to try the Parmies. The one I had today was absolutely discusting.the Parmi (chicken) was dry, and the edges of the parmigiana was dry and hard to eat. To top it off, the chips were cold, even the ones under the parmigiana. If you are going to charge a price for a good meal, then you need to deliver a good meal. The salad didn’t have ant tomatoes or salad dressing in it.

The food isn’t what it used to be unfortunately. Tonight was very average. Chicken wings quite dry and lacking flavour, fish and chips had quite a strong fishy taste and was mostly left uneaten, the kids nuggets were probably the best dish on the table unfortunately. The women’s toilets are in very poor condition, multiple toilets missing seats completely, cracks in toilet bowls and instead of a printed note on the door of a toilet out of order, someone has written it in lipstick directly on the door which has been smudged and gives the place tacky haunted house vibes. Graffiti in cubicles as well. It wasn’t a great experience.

Unbelievable portion sizes. My chorizo and scallop risotto had to be taken away in a container as it was weighing a tonne. All meals ordered were delicious although one of the steaks came out well done when it was ordered as medium rare but not to worry. Will definitely be back.

They allow smoking in the patio area clearly marked by Joondalup Lake side as non smoking. The cigarette smoke constantly comes in to the restaurant. Awful if you have breathing issues. Don’t expect vegetables and mash on a Friday night, too hard for them. Never mind if you have dietary requirements.
