This recently updated pub has a nice atmosphere and a solid food selection. The Wino Wednesday is a promotion that gives you the rest of the bottle if you buy 2 large glasses…. I liked this idea!

I came here for drinks and nibbles post work Friday night, I really love what they’ve done with the place! The food was amazing, as was the service, I highly recommend looking at the specials board! Soooo yummy! Was a really relaxed and comfortable atmosphere in there too, the bar staff were really attentive and made great recommendations for both food and drink. Would 100% go back!!!

Having been re painted and freshened up we dined here last night. Beer is chilled and taste is great. Wine list has a few different wine by the glass to choose from. We had a good choice of food items from the menu and each dish was delivered promptly and hot and delicious. Enjoyable time. Please note a booking is best

It was ok, limited menu, unless you are a fish eater. Food was well presented. I wouldn’t rush back

Family-friendly atmosphere, great food, and a good selection on tap. Staff are experienced and offer excellent service. A variety of activities such as trivia and raffles (just to name a few) occur weekly and are open for all to participate. The Queens Head provides a great opportunity for the local and broader community to socialise and connect.

Stumbled in by chance looking for a distraction and found a beautifully restored classic corner pub with a genial publican, a delicious cold white wine by the glass and a final latte expertly made. A Ballarat suburban gem! A warm old pub out of the cold winter afternoon. Nothing nicer

The renovations and the Queens photos and the chairs all look beautiful and after having 2 weeks of packing, moving etc I really enjoyed my steak meal.

Excellent service and great meals, we really enjoyed the experience. White bait and Chicken snitzel were delicious and on tap Coopers perfect. Attentive service by Paul and other staff combined with good atmosphere just capped off a good evening.

Very cosy atmosphere. Myself and my wife called in for dinner and the food was delicious. Great selection on the menu, I had the chicken and my wife had the Salmon which was one of the specials. Really nicely cooked and presented, we particularly enjoyed the hand cut chips! Will definitely be back

We loved our meal at the Queen’s Head. The menu was so interesting and unusual that we ordered starters as well as mains because we needed to taste a variety of dishes. It’s so refreshing to find a pub which is prepared to break out of the ‘parma and chips’ mould and be a bit innovative. Three of us chose different starters, all yummy. The roasts were meltingly tender and the vegies with them were unusual and delicious. Braised cabbage anyone? Thanks so much for a memorable meal, and keep doing what you’re doing.
