Probably one of the best steaks I’ve had in Sydney. The spinalis was such a great cut and cooked to perfection. Everything about that cut was so good. Then the English roast was a great alternative to the steak. So much flavour, though its definitely a sharing piece. The burger is quite delicious, but I found the bacon better on its own thing, but the egg was great.

Loved this dining experience! They didnt ask us how we liked our steak and it was a tad bir red to my liking but still delicious overall. Drinks were nice! The sides were better than expected, especially the mac n cheese.

Excellent restaurant. High-end experience from start to finish. Food is all designed to be shared, which allows an awesome taste experience. Great wine list, with some value options as well as real top shelf offerings. The waiter we had needed a bit more polish – he spilt a water bottle on one of our party . Not a complete disaster, but not great either, hence the less than perfect service score

Went to the lounge section without a booking on a Friday night and they seated us within minutes. Best burger I’ve ever eaten. The picture doesn’t do it justice whatsoever. I was concerned that it wouldn’t fill me up as there was no fries on the side but just the burger alone was perfect. Service was also impeccable. Cannot wait to go back and try the steak! Tip: Get the burger with bacon.

Absolutely loved our experience at The Gidley! Great service, food and atmosphere. No pictures of food or drinks to show because they do take your phone away to ensure to socially connect and enjoy each part of the experience (which actually I loved more than I thought I would!). Definitely get the burger, and the rib-eye! 100% would recommend to anyone!

Lunch. Arrived early but was only allowed in at 1200hrs. The steak burger and steak is fantastic. Service is impeccable. They’ll keep your phone in a pouch and store it somewhere during dining.

Dined here as a group in one of the private rooms. Staff were friendly and well versed. Food was delicious, especially their wagygu burger and the ribeye steak. We were asked to put our phones in a fancy leather pouch and these were kept safe for us throughout the night so we could focus on the dining experiencing. I understand the rationale but also find this rule quite restrictive. The reality is that most people these days want to capture photos of their food and may also need their phones on them for personal/work reasons, so to have these taken away was unsettling and detracted from the experience rather than enhanced it. I have no photos to share as our phones were confiscated, sad.

Visited here with a group not too long ago and we had the best dining experience! Hidden away off the main street, the Gidley is a remarkable steakhouse that does not skimp on quality. The star attraction is the spinalis steak, with a honourable mention to the Gidley burger made with the offcuts & trimmings. The pecan pie was a satisfying dessert to finish. Would recommend!
