The Gardens By Lotus 2000

Social Profile:

The tranquil ‘Chinese Garden of Friendship’ provides a unique oasis like atmosphere in the heart of Australia’s busiest city. The venue draws from both aspect of its location with its modern interpretation of a Chinese high tea during the day and a modern Sichuan dining experience in the evenings, as well as ‘The Blue Room,’ a private dining space for events, functions and special occasions.

Really enjoyed our lunch. The service was a bit slow though overall the food was great! Much better than i expected compared to the notes in the reviews. Food is great, a bit limited on choice though delicious and served at perfect temperature.

Amazing experience! Incredible hospitality. Special thanks to the staff and chef for juggling the menu to meet our dietary requirements. We had a great time on Father days lunch at this restaurant.

A peaceful, tasty oasis in the midst of the city. Food was great, (weekend, set Yum Cha menu) service was fabulous and as I’m a slow eater they slowed down the pace of the dishes a little for me. The beautiful surroundings of the Chinese Gardens made for an ambient and delightfully tasty dining experience.

Everything was fantastic, good food, great service, great vibe and view. The only downside was price point. $88 per head for a yumcha is relatively expensive in my opinion. But understandable given the location of the place, right next to a touristy attraction (being the Chinese Garden)

Relaxing cafe next to the Chinese Garden of friendship. Food & service were pretty average but the environment was beautiful and relaxing. Good place to get a cup of tea and small bite to eat after your garden visit.

One of the most beautiful restaurants in Sydney. I was heartbroken that we had hardly 4-5 vegetarian options to eat but happy that there is something at least. Hahaa

Yum cha with a relaxing atmosphere, great service and for gathering, we had bottomless lunch. Love the mango pudding which not inc on the bottomless menu. The selections not as much as other yum cha places.

Food is amazing especially deep fried prawn and mushroom dumplings! However it is pricey when it comes Sunday / public holiday / bring your own cake. Spent more than $600 for 6 adults including cake service.

BAD! The staff here had very terrible attitude. We were trying to order two bottles of cocktail but the staff said you had to order some foods as well, or just ordered non-alcohol drink. So we said can we have some water first. The staff said you can’t have water if you don’t order anything. Then we ordered two nonalcoholic drink and trying to get the tab water, the staff just toke it from our hand! We just randomly came here and we asked the staff( LADY with black musk) what’s the restaurant name, she said ”I DON’T KNOW!” BAD SERVICE! BAD UNTRAINED STAFF!
