Wonderful dining experience overlooking the Opera house. The food, beverages (wine list), and service by the staff was top notch. The oysters, muscles, lamb cutlets and salads were excellent. Also had a great view for Vivid and the Drone Show!!

Food quality was good, the service was amazing. I booked for a window seat online and was charged with $80 extra. Very misleading as they did not disclose of the additional fee for window seat on the website or booking system. Looking at other review here, look like the fee for window seat fluctuate as well. They need to do better with transparency on prices.

Service was impeccable! We were also greeted with a complimentary Australian eucalyptus and honey cold drink, which was a great start of the meal. The portions of the dishes are easy to be shared. The Cod Murray was cooked to perfection and it was paired with a hoisin sauce. In the Wagyu cold dish had small pieces of unagi hidden underneath. Sour and sweet sauce for the pork belly was actually a sweet black vinegar sauce and while the kelp paired nicely, the fungus was a bit of a weird pairing. Their sourdough was served warm and definitely delicious! Had a cocoa flavour to the bread and tasted amazing with the butter. Overall, service was amazing and the flavours of the dishes were good but definitely on the pricey side.

We have been to Park Hyatt Sydney quite regularly but only dining in the Living room and bar area. It was ordinary in our opinion. During Vivid event we were exhausted with the crowds and managed to be there. Of course every outlet was fully booked but staffs were very helpful and never turned us away. We had drinks at the bar for around 30 minutes and they got us the table in the restaurant. We’re meat eaters but our good friends are vegan. We ordered every plant based dishes and I tried roasted pumpkin. Oh man, it’s the most delicious dish I have ever had. Our vegan friends enjoyed it very much. My husband’s steak cooked to perfection of medium rare!! Everyone was so happy. We will definitely go back for more. Thanks to the chefs, service staffs and managers for accommodating us.

The view was pretty good. Service was good too. However food was average, I would say disappointing especially the display of the food and the plates served as in photos. You cannot link this to a fine dining restaurant. Food taste was ok, nothing impressive. I was very surprised with the duck dish, it comes with duck breast, whole piece of duck wing and leg. Duck wings and legs are not supposed to be served in fine dining as it feels like having take-away BBQ duck or fast food that you would eat with hands. Besides, it’s very dry and hard to cut. It should be better for a fine dining restaurant. A lot of room to improve.

Lunch with the ladies on 29 December. Seated by the large windows looking out to the walkway, harbour and boats. Beautiful atmosphere and the most amazing lunch. Excellent! Our waiter, Fabio, was friendly and service with a smile and great sense of humour. A must visit experience.

I celebrated my birthday with my husband at the Dining Room by James Viles ,Park Hyatt Sydney, staff so friendly and very helpful. Thank you to all staff Alisa, Manuel ,Food was very excellent. Good variety. Got a windows table and a surprise complimentary birthday cake from the restaurant. Greatly appreciated and highly recommended
