Social Profile:
Ouest (west) France Bistro opened their doors on the 14th July 2022. Run by two French brothers, Oscar (chef) and Cesar (ex France Soir) from Brittany.
The 32 seat (tiny) restaurant welcomes you, with an elegant design which mimics the experience and ambience of a bustling French bistro.
For food, don’t look for complicated. The small menu features the classics of a French brasserie. This is curated with a wine list featuring wines mainly from France and local Peninsula favourites.
Boheme in design, with red carpet and hanging plants in the patio for a true Parisian atmosphere. A golden mirror, artistic wallpaper and a dark, romantic interior.
We look forward to welcoming you to, Ouest France.

Great french food. I’ve had the best French fries after such a long time.

Great traditional French cuisine. Great service. One of the few quality restaurants that have BYO wine on Mornington Peninsula.

We enjoyed a three course meal – everything was authentic and delicious! The staff were so friendly and attentive to detail. Highly recommend the duck breast with orange sauce. We will definitely be back!

Dinner last night was VERY expensive. Pea soup was very watery with no flavour. Gravalx salmon was delicious , the scallops main were not balanced with vanilla and butternut pumpkin too sweet and took over the delicious potential from the scallops, the duck was very dry, steak overcooked. Desserts were best pick. Service was good

Steak tartare is a must try! Especially if Oscar is in the kitchen 🙂

Great to have this lovely gem in our neighbourhood…Mornington needs more of this type of restaurant alongside (too many) burger etc places. A lot to like, but bread and butter were particularly disappointing in a French bistro. French wine a little overpriced. Hoping this place will flourish…

I have never been so disappointed in a French meal as we all where Saturday night, there is no way it was authentic. I have nothing positive to say about any of our dishes. The steak was garnished with chopped herbs on top but they obviously didn’t wash the herbs there were little bugs in the herbs disgusting. The duck was tender but cold and the sauce way too sweet.
