Shanxi Noodle Bar is a restaurant project jointly launched by SA Shanxi Chamber of Commerce Incorporated and Australian United International Catering Group, aiming at promoting the food and cultural exchange between South Australia and Shanxi Province. Shanxi Noodle Bar, located in Adelaide CBD, with an area of over 160 square meters, and seating capacity of 60, specializes in a variety of delicious cooked wheaten food and specialty gourmet. The Noodle Bar, presented in a traditional Chinese courtyard style, showcases the spectacular beauty of Shanxi. Shanxi Noodle Bar also collaborates with Aimeng (Beijing) Culture Communication Co., Ltd. to display and sell intangible cultural heritage folk crafts of Shanxi.

Delicious, wholesome food and AMAZING service!! I ordered the signature beef noodle soup and asked if it was spicy when it arrived, but the waitress said if it is, they’re happy to make me something else. The fact they’re willing to accomodate their customers like this shows a true commitment to customer service. Even though it would’ve been my fault for ordering something spicy! It turned out to be fine anyway.

Nice decor but food is very average. Pictured is tofu with century egg $7.50 (the best dish of all three), special beef soup noodle with hand pulled noodles $16.80 (noodles were bouncy but the broth was bland) and the cumin lamb burger $8.50 (too heavy handed on the salt).

If you’re craving for some spicy noodles, either soupy or dry, this little restaurant is a good option and quite reasonably priced. For flavourful soups, do try the signature beef noodles or pork noodles. Highly recommend you choose the handmade noodles for more authentic texture instead of the sliced version.

Authentic Chinese noodles! Shanxi Noodle bar provide good service and a wide variety of noodles to choose. It was definitely a very good experience and I would recommend you to try the beef ramen and Roujiamo (Chinese burger).

I came in last night fairly close to their closing time with my 3 friends. I was sceptical as most places when you come in and order a meal close to their closing time they will either turn you away or they will make it very poorly. This place was anything but poor quality. The staff welcomed us in and gave us a nice and cozy booth. The food was cooked extremely well and it made our night. I’ll definitely be looking to return to this lovely place. Thanks for the service and food guys!

Bright and spacious restaurant for a quick fix of hot Noodle soup. The flat handmade noodles were done very well, Al Dante. Soup was heartwarming and broth like. Decent beef portions which were tender. Even their seaweed soup was very healthy. The hamburger meat was pretty good, bread a bit too dry. Affordable for the value you get. Not bad..
