As I entered, Paulo and Antoine were busily preparing for the evening. While I had never set foot in this establishment, both owners immediately smiled and greeted me with friendly and genuine smiles of someone who is greeting a dear friend that they haven’t seen in many years. Paulo came to me, shook my hand and welcomed me. I was immediately transported to their home, not a restaurant.

The owners are lovely. Service is good. Our last experience did not meet our expectations however. The foods very pricey for what gets served up. My steak medium rare was quiet over cooked and the 4 medium prawns was not good enough for 45+ dollars! In fact its a massive rip off. My partners pasta was swimming in a runny as water cream sauce that was virtually tasteless and pointless. The garlic bread was charcoaled.

We used to visit Paolo’s regularly when we lived near Picton. We ate there tonight for first time in 15 years and it was ss good as we remembered. Food was great, service was quick and prices reaonable.
