Fine dining, Italian style, in Port Douglas. Excellent food, excellent service at a premium price. Worth it in my opinion. Had the seafood pasta, veal, cannoli and cocktail. and 2 glasses of wine. $160.

We always try and stop here for a meal when we are in port Douglas. We were ready for a late lunch by the time we arrived and it did not disappoint! A couple of small plates to share and a couple of drinks was absolutely perfect! The kingfish was absolutely to die for and the burrata was creamy and delicious. Washed down with an aperol spritz and it was a perfect afternoon!

Great location but the staff are also very attentive and the food is one of the best in Port Douglas. Their Pila Colada cocktail, with fresh local ingredients is easily the best in Port Douglas, if not already a strong contender nationwide. You can stay and just go for that.

Delicious dinner, the best we had in Port Douglas. The seafood was particularly great, generous portions of fresh food at a very reasonable price given the quality and quantity. The service was also a highlight, you could see the Italian vibe be very authentic, made us happy to witness.

Had an amazing dinner here, catered superbly for the 2 coeliacs in the family – eye fillet steak and seafood risotto were amazing and the veal scaloppine superb (not GF). Biggest surprise was the GF chocolate pudding with salted caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream – Devine and could not believe it was gluten free, it was delicious! Lovely staff, location and meal made for a fantastic last night of our 2 week holiday in Port Douglas.

Best Italian food in Port Douglas! We ordered a pasta and a meat dish and it was sensational. Staff were also very friendly. They were quite busy so I would recommend making a reservation especially in peak periods. We absolutely loved it here and can’t wait to go back on our next trip to Port Douglas.

Amazing evening at La Cucina. We had seating outside and could see the Matilda’s playing in the big screen over the road. Great atmosphere. Waiting staff were excellent and accomodating. Finished our dinner just in time to watch Australia knock out France in a penalty shootout at the pub over the road.

Very nice service. professional, attractive and attentive staff. They deserve their tips. Got a nice table lucky us. Food was kinda average, might have ordered the wrong things but competion is fierce in Port dee, especially with everyones price point. Not unhappy with my dinner, just not stoaked.
