This place used to be good and my favourite is their peking duck. My family always dine her for dinner. Lately it’s been downhill . We dine here tonight and foods was average some dishes was so salty and some very bland. Staffs didn’t seem to friendly or care much.

Today, we came to this restaurant without booking in advance. The staff were friendly and served quickly after we made our order. We ordered dimsum, jellyfish, different types of soup (corn and seafood), steamed chicken, special fried rice and koji desserts. I highly recommended their soup and steamed chicken. The price was reasonable. The indoor atmosphere was cozy. Overall, I was satisfied with today dinner at this restaurant.

Our $522 bill included two dishes that we ordered but never came out. The female staff/manager insisted that the soft crab and beef dishes had already came out. We’re a table of 10 people so we would know which dishes came. This staff was so adamant and argued with us that she remembered bringing out one of the dishes (soft crabs) herself. When? We asked her to check with the chefs and/or check their cameras, but she kept arguing that the dishes were served. Another example of how badly this place operates was that the waitress told us after she handed us our second container of rice was that it was the last one as there’s no more left in the kitchen. All our dishes at that time were only starting to come out and we have a large group. When I told her that it was unacceptable and that they should tell us that they’re low on rice before we order our dishes then we would have gone to another restaurant. Miraculously there was more rice. It was Friday night at 9pm so it wasn’t unrealistic to expect the full service for booking at 8pm for 10 people.

I’m from Perth and whenever I visit Adelaide, Kingdom Chinese Restaurant is my go-to-place whenever I have the munchies for no-frills-delicious Cantonese cuisine. Sorry for the photos…the food was just too good that I couldn’t wait to snap a photo before digging in. Oh and did mention the excellent service ?

Best Cantonese I’ve had. Can’t get enough of it. Fast service. Wait time was as expected as it was extremely busy. Wait staff are friendly and helpful and come promptly when called. We had a table of 7 ordered crispy beef, szechuan chilli chicken, salt and pepper squid, salt and pepper chicken, Peking duck, honey chicken, fried rice, chicken satay skewers and chicken and corn soup. Couldn’t fault anything. Absolutely superb. THANK YOU again for a wonderful meal.

A Cantonese cuisine restaurant in the Adelaide CBD. The restaurant decor was a bit dated and old. The staff were friendly and nice. The food was good in total. There were very nice items such as the beef curry and prawn dumpling but for instance the duck was average and the beef noodle was a bit under seasoned and over cooked. But in general, i will visit this place for sure to try more items on the very long menu.

Food was pretty stock standard for a Chinese restaurant. As a first generation Australian Chinese, I found this to be very similar to other spots I’ve had around Australia that are high quality. If you’re looking for a local opinion, here is one. If you’re not Asian, here are some tips. I’d recommend ordering multiple dishes so you could all share, otherwise having one dish for yourself is INSANE. Like they say everything in moderation. Don’t have too much for yourself and also it would be greatly appreciated to have a common set of cutlery to grab or share the food. This is a review not an instructional message on how to eat. LMFAO. Just getting enough characters for points.
