The food was delicious and was very reasonably priced. The staff were nice but sometimes they went off and were talking among themselves so you had to wait a minute before you could get their attention. I did like that they were kind enough to not be annoyed with me in practicing my intermediate Indonesian. Other than that this place is good for an under $20 pp eat. The proportions of the meal are only for one person and not a plate which you could share like the Indonesian restaurant closer to my home. If you know your Indonesian dishes and cook the cuisine at home you can easily navigate allergies such as a light gluten allergy or light dairy allergy(by light I mean the food is cooked using equipment and around an area where these foods are present). Overall I will come back to this place in the future, it will stay on my culinary map.

Came by for a quick lunch, the lamb satay was very much overcooked and became a chewing exercise for the jaw, the Nasi Goreng had several large, white clumps of rice and both our crackers weren’t cooked through in the middle. We were either very unlucky or the chef was in a bad mood?

Excellent place for a no frill quick lunch. Good portion size with strong flavours. The Iga bakar was good. The sambal with the fried chicken was slightly too sweet for my liking. Would have preferred it to be a touch spicier to balance off the sweetness.

Had the igar bakar and ayam goreng. Both dishes were quite flavourful, however I felt that there was way too many small bones in the igar bakar. First time I’ve had it cooked with lamb, usually I eat beef. This tasted good but just had a lot of bones. The soup broth was really tasty and food came out pretty fast. Customer service was great although I feel there should be a sound/ring which is connected to the back of the shop (to alert the shop when someone has walked in as I think some customers wait there a bit before anyone notices that they are there).

For some people who want to try Indonesian food outside Indonesia, this restaurant was must to choose, yess theres a big Indonesian resto near the busies road area. But Blok M served different taste, it’s still served traditional taste, big portion, best sambal, and off course delicious..Try the Iga bakar, fish bakar, also lamb fried rice…it’s awesome and very Indonesia!
