HIGHLY RECOMMEND, we just came back from Paris and this rivals Paris restaurants, everything we had was prepared with care, beautifully plated and flavoursome. We had a vegan celeriac starter, a faux scallop style entree which was divine! For mains, my husband had the beef tenderloin special and I had the pumpkin pasta, accompanied with two fantastic sides. Every bite was full of flavour and definitely not something I could pull off at home. This was our second visit, and we’ll be looking forward to returning. Thanks to the team!

I was so delighted to be invited to dinner at this lovely little brasserie in Roselle. Dinner was $65 per head, including a bottle of wine between two for three courses. The food was great, and a really good menu to choose from. The service I couldn’t fault.- helpful and friendly. I totally recommend this restaurant for a dinner with family or friends. It’s so nice to be able to have a lovely dinner without spending a fortune.

4.5 stars. Finally made it to 1947 after 3 failed attempts in the last 2 years and not disappointed. Food is fantastic and a genuine pleasure. Restaurant was very quiet but still had atmosphere. The waiter struggled a bit but was willing and keen. Only wine was available as the extensive and impressive looking bar was closed which was a shame as it was an anniversary and a martini was part of the plan. Look forward to going back explore f more of the menu.

The portions are huge, we had perfectly cooked steak and pasta with a massive amount of salmon. Hard to understand how they can put huge, high quality dishes out for such low prices. The waiter was learning but did well, chef is great, highly recommend.

1947 Brassiere is the newly crowned king of the inner west! French themed menu and decor, unending list of wine and spirits, and food so delicious that my knees buckled. This place has it all.
