Don’t judge the book by the cover. Although the place doesn’t look very fancy from the outside, the inside dining areas have some antique feel to it. The service was excellent with friendly and attentive staff. Food was absolutely amazing and delicious, just the right portion size for each dish. The friend banana dessert was above and beyond my expectation, thin & crispy spring roll pastry with warm banana on the inside and that butterscotch sauce was beyond words could describe… everything just simply melts in the mouth especially with the ice cream and cream. Definitely one of the best dining place in Mackay! Highly recommended!!

Went on a Friday night and we could choose from a set menu or thr normal menu. Set Menu was $55 for 3 courses and there were 2 options for each course. The food was just beautiful. Always love going to dinner here. The staff and service was great! Never had to ask for drinks. There was a kids menu which they could colour in, it entertained all the kids.

I’m new to Mackay & friends booked my husband & I here for our 1st anniversary, what a fabulous choice, it was very quirky & riddled with history. As for the food, top complements to the chef, we all thought it was delicious, very well presented good portions & no hanging around, the service was simply tip top. This restaurant has top marks & we will return.

My husband and I LOVE dining at Church on Palmer. It is our favourite restaurant in Mackay. The food, atmosphere and Di and her staff are exceptional. I wanted to give a special shout out to them for last nights experience. After a delicious meal, we left the restaurant and were about to get into our car, when Di raced out to us and gave me a $100 note I had accidentally and unknowingly dropped from my bag. Apparently a staff member while cleaning up found it and alerted Di immediately. Thank you so much to all of you for your honesty and for always making our dining experience so special. I thoroughly recommend the dining experience at Church on Palmer
