Great Malatang place! There’s a huge variety of vegetables, fish balls/cakes, meat, seafood & noodle. I also like the variety of soup base – there’s something for everyone 🙂

The placed was packed and rockin on a Monday night! That speaks volumes Good selection with a vast variety to pick from, couple of different soup options and a hot wok fried option too. The condiments and sauce bar was outstanding. Paid $27 for a large bowl of Original Soup noodles and left the stomach very satisfied. Would try the hot wok option next time.

Great service, food, and concept!! If you haven’t been to the self service hotpot style restaurant as this then you have got to give it a try. I had no idea what I was missing! This place is great for an individual or a group, I find it way better than the usual hot pot format. Will be returning soon!

One of my fave places for having Malatang in Haymarket area. Always busy but easy to get an empty seat. Malatang by weight. Select your ingredients, add them to a large bowl, get to the counter, weigh your chosen ingredients, then select the broth you desire.

The range of ingredients is really good and fresh. The soup I tried was tomato and it was tasty but not my favourite. I regret not trying the classic but I didn’t choose it because I couldn’t tailor the spice level. Sauce station is excellent, and although it gets really busy, the turnover is quick. They cooked the ingredients really well, the veges were not overcooked which sometimes happens. Happy to try again.

The spicy soup is fragrant and there’s a variety of ingredients to choose from as well as the DIY sauce station. For just over 500g, it was $21.. which is on the pricier side.
