My partner and I ordered some wings and sweet potato fries for delivery to celebrate my partner’s birthday. When the order arrived it was missing the sweet potato fries and the sauces were incorrect. We had eaten at Yard Doggs before and loved the wings, but unfortunately on this occasion we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food we received. The wings were overcooked, hard and contained very little/no actual chicken meat. When I contacted the restaurant about the missing potato fries they were happy to assist, however when I mentioned that our chicken wings were inedible and hard to bite, I was told that’s how they always are – which I was able to dispute having eaten there previously and enjoying very good, meaty wings! I was very frustrated by the attitude of the employee that I dealt with on the phone and was very disappointed that we had to order something else to celebrate my partner’s birthday. I would not recommend for these wings to be ordered for delivery. I think they are better prepared for customers at the restaurant.

I recently visited Yard Doggs in Fortitude Valley and had an amazing experience. The chicken wings I tried, specifically the Smoke BBQ and Honey BBQ flavors, were incredibly delicious. The wings were cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and tender meat. The combination of spices in each bite was mouthwatering.

Terrible experience. Ordered the wings, as per a recommendation. Soggy, old wings layered in sauce come out. The manager/owner Chris comes out. Unwilling to respond to my query – the wings were cooked >24 hours ago and I was told were serveable for up to five days!

An out of the way experience, set back from the main road. Good food choices and beers on tap as well as a cool selection of cans. Inside and outside seating and must be dog friendly…there were a couple. Southern Fried over the Buffalo. Friendly staff makes for a good night out.
