Our experience at Hellenika was lovely. The aesthetics were stunning, the drinks were fantastic and the service was top notch. The restaurant and hotel definitely draws a certain crowd and they did try to push in, despite us having a reservation and they did not. Initially it bought a bit of a rift in our evening but then Hellenika’s vibes made up for it. The food was good, not outstanding but still very delicious. The service, atmosphere and cocktails were definitely worth the visit though. We got the tasting menu back in 2021 and 2022. We spent $80-110 per head including a few cocktails and a glass of wine each with dinner.

Had breakfast here on our last day at the hotel and was left very underwhelmed. Considering it is a Greek restaurant they can’t cook halloumi well at all. Both my husband and I ordered a dish with halloumi, it was thin, overcooked and rubbery! They rest of the dish was fine but when you pay top price you expect top quality. Was not even asked at payment if we enjoyed our meal so there was no opportunity to communicate our disappointment with staff.

What an amazing experience. From the first minute you walk in, service is top-notch. All waiters wearing pink classy jackets and their customer service skills were second to none. Very attractive place from decor to wait staff and then to patrons. Vibe delivered that feeling that this was the place to be with no care to the outside world. The production of all food was fresh, and depth to flavours was just amazing. There are plenty of cocktails to choose from, which are all made perfectly. Wine selection is just crazy with all the choices. Absolutely love this place and will be back. To avoid disappointment, please book ahead. This venue clearly popular. 5 Stars from me!

We had an enjoyable time at Hellenika. Beautiful atmosphere- dim lighting so if you struggle with your vision/reading you may need a torch for reading the menu. Unfortunately our glasses were plastic being close to the pool- which I do think changes the taste of drinks. Service for drink top ups was slightly slow and my only other critique would be the food all came out so fast. It would have been nice to have a gap between each course as it felt quite rushed. However the food was amazing- very wholesome!

We literally just got home from this experience. We were so very much looking forward to Fathers Day, a birthday and a celebration of a life just passed today but we have left wishing we had chosen somewhere else. I need to express why… I don’t write a lot of reviews usually but this time I feel I needed to as the treatment we received in an establishment that is an average of $50 a plate should be better than what we had.

Blown away by the service and food at Hellenika, located in the Callie Hotel on James Street. The restaurant is simply beautiful, with attentive, kind and helpful staff. Loved all the food, the Morton Bay bugs and lamb cutlets were cooked very well, but there was something special about the Greek salad and the olive oil dressing. Cocktail menu was nice too. Whilst at a higher price point this is reflected in quality, but we found it quite reasonable.
