Great coffee and they gave us a lovely biscuit to go with it. Nice courtyard seating outside or you can sit inside the Wohlers store. They were very busy so we were lucky to get a table. They were understaffed and it was Easter so lots of customers which meant service was very slow, but we have been on previous occasions where it was quite a bit faster.

I want to give this café 5 stars because we’ve been there three days in a row. Wendy & Damian were on and both of them provided 100% service and the food was great. Unfortunately today Jen was working and for some reason she just left all the male customers waiting and waiting and waiting to be served. It was very obvious and rather uncomfortable being there. I complemented Wendy on her job because she is such an asset for Rumours but unfortunately Jen’s attitude towards male customers is something I do not need to be confronted with. I will not be returning, which is sad as I enjoyed the service from Damian and Wendy.

Total dismay. I waited in a queue to order a coffee. The three or four women in front of me were served quickly and the cashier took their orders very professionally. As soon as I reached the counter the cashier turned her back to me and just pretended I wasn’t there. I couldn’t work it out. I waited and waited. After a few minutes had past she glanced toward me and said “I’ll get to you in a few minutes”. She was just shuffling dockets and deliberately avoiding me. What the hell. After a few more minutes her offsider came and served me. I saw her do the exact same thing to every man who went to order, yet the women were served without delay. I found this situation totally absurd. She obviously has a problem and should not be working in a cafe. I watched her as I had my coffee and it was one of the weirdest situations I’ve witnessed. How could management allow such a blatant display of discrimination occur right there in the middle of Tanunda. I will not be buying my coffee from Rumours whenever I see Jen work there. She’s not a nice person.

I’m very disappointed with the customer service and attitude here. I’ve asked for a soy chia latte and I’ve received regular milk. I’ve been vegan for 6 years and I’m not gonna stop now. I’ve politely asked if they forgot the soy and I’ve been abruptly told that it’s my fault. I can tell you now I told them I wanted soy twice in my order so I’m a bit confused. THEN to top it off she’s told me to come back up to the front to pay for the 70c extra. I’m not sure if customer service is taught here in this cafe but I’m disgusted.

Not cheap but sedate and cozy. They run out of food choices quickly so dont dilly dally if you plan to have the pick of the menu on weekends. A civilized place to go buy something and de stress. Very clean and comfortable, excellent toilets and lots of trinkets as well as furniture to peruse.
