I had a great experience at essen to go. The coffee was really good, with an awesome ratio. The barista was super friendly and seemed to really know what he was doing. I thought the sandwiches were priced a bit steeply but didn’t regret giving them a go, because the flavour was good. I had the leg ham and pickled tomato one. They made it fresh for me, and it was perfectly toasted. The size was pretty big and it had good ingredients (I couldn’t tell for certain, but I think the pickles were handmade, with great texture and the perfect level of vinegar so as not to overwhelm).

We’re lucky enough to have eaten all over the world and we can honestly say this was the most superb meal we’ve enjoyed for years. Creative, imaginative, sublime mix of flavours and textures. Piping hot and cooked to absolute perfection. Great range of wines, gins, etc. Lovely atmosphere and great service. Can’t recommend it highly enough. Huge thanks to the chef and team !

My partner and I went to the opening of this stunning venue and had the best time. The food was amazing (you must have the tartare and chicken fat butter!!). The service was wonderful and the space was so beautiful. We will 100% be back. Hahndorf has a much needed new gem.
