Food was absolutely incredible, – beautifully presented dishes. We tried the tasting menu and I could not fault any of the dishes, and could not pick between them for a favourite. Chef Jamie Carter has a gift, such unique and fresh flavours, paired together perfectly! We finished with dessert – the dark chocolate and orange lava cake is outstanding. Such a great atmosphere, will definitely be back. Thank you to the whole team for such a lovely evening!

We had an absolutely terrible experience at Sidewood Restaurant in Handof. The pizzas were incredibly oversalted, making them practically inedible. To add insult to injury, my party and I were seated outside in the rain, with water dripping onto our tables. The service was a complete disaster as well – our main course was brought out before our drinks and appetizers, leaving us bewildered and hungry. This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had, and I would strongly advise against wasting your time and money at this establishment.

Amazing friendly service and a very nice Lunch. Great drive up to the Hills – Hahndorf certainly has beautiful surroundings. Rained so we were unable to play the games outdoors but were far from disappointed and enjoyed the warmth of the Wood Fire Pizza Oven – We will be back ! My fav place Sidewood Estate – Hahndorf South Australia. Highly recommend my entree – Octopus and my Main Pan Fried Gnocchi. Great Flavours and presentation.

It has been a long time since we had such a great dinning experience. The chef has a genuine passion for his craft, and shared it with us. It was a fabulous meal with great service from Otto. This has become our new favorite restaurant.
