Ordered via MenuLog. The food was horrible. Chicken was over cooked and the food was so basic and terrible, a 10 year old could have made it. When you pay $40+ you expect the food to be good. Whoever is reading this, take your money elsewhere and buy something that is well made. Slapping a tomato and a few strands of lettuce on top of a tough chicken fillet and pressed between two crummy buns is not worth your money!!

I love the chicken, the homemade potyato cakes, the juicy homemade drumsticks and many many other menu items such as souvlaki. The lamb is so juicy and full of flavour. The pricing is fair and very good value for money. The variety of massive so provides me with a lot of options. Perfect place for every day dining! They also do catering platters too!

Never again. We think they leave the cooking oil temp down very low, perhaps it cheaper to run that way? You can’t hear anything sizzle when the baskets go into the oil and everything takes a very long time to be cooked. My last straw was I ordered a south Melbourne dim sim and it was still frozen in the middle, despite appearing cooked. The prices have been put up too far as well; which is a shame because most of the local kids always went there for their chips until the price hikes.but it’s too much for them now. Cheaper to go to maccas.

Best chips in the area, crispy, tasty and just the right temperature. These chips and chickens are made with a lot of love and effort. Very affordable pricing and superb quality meat. Sraffs are all friendly and polktie, feels like family in here. Definately a MUST try!!!

Bought a large chips with a $20 bill. The owner put it in the register and only gave me change for a 10. When I asked “didn’t I give you a 20” he then pulled a 10 from his pocket and told me that was the bill I had given. Even a customer mentioned to both of us that the bill was pink, and the owner still wouldn’t admit it. Never going to Upwey Charcoal chicken again.
