I ordered the Black Bean Stir Fried Beef with Rice lunch special ($14.90). Venue was busy on a weekday lunch which is typical for the CBD. Very friendly staff and owners cooking in the kitchen. Great flavour and fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, there was only 4 slices of beef, the rest were snow peas, bell peppers, green beans, bean sprouts, broccoli and onions.

Was excited about their Hainan chicken rice, and went here for the first time, but unfortunately I’m very disappointed. The rice has no stock added, it’s just a big portion of plain rice. There are a few pieces of chicken that taste ok, and a huge piece of cabbage in the middle of the dish. I can make better Hainan chicken rice than this. Not worth $17.80 at all. Also, there are young children working in the shop. I was a little shocked.

I took the beef chow mein. The noodles were very very soft and felt like udon. I have never had choe mein this soft. I asked them if it was udon and they said it is chow mein. The portion was good and had plenty of beef but lacked a proper amount of vegetables.
