Excellent place for a drink after work or before going out. Unless you stay for dinner. We only had drinks and bar short eats last night. The drinks list for the Happy Hour is well curated, French bubbles and oysters is always a winning combination especially when the oysters are fresh. We stayed much longer than anticipated because sitting outside on the terrace made for a lovely evening. Highly repeatable.

Nice semi-formal spot to get some drinks or a meal. The gnocchi is very light and fluffy, and would get again in a heartbeat. The pasta sauces were olive oil based and quite light so it didn’t feel heavy eating anything.

Busy and buzzy is the best way to describe this place! Food is delicious and for the most part comes out very quickly so you are not waiting long. Wine selection is great and well matched to the food options. While the staff are really nice and work efficiently, the restaurant would benefit from having more staff on during peak times and I can’t help but feel that it is brought down slightly by being in an office building and overlooking the office foyer. Solid offering overall!

Not Machiavelli. Not Bar Machiavelli. A mishmash of “modern” Italian and old school Sydney Italian. Cold cuts are excellent as usual. Everything else on the menu is ordinary as of May 2023. Went there based on the menu on the internet. What we saw was like a Masterchef episode.

We love Toppi. Amazing gem hidden at the top of Martin Place with a great bar and an even better dining room. We love the beetroot carpaccio, and of course the always-excellent pasta. We couldn’t recommend this place more – we just wish it was open on the weekend!

I was there only a week after opening. Perhaps too early to review. Pasta was great. Staff were nice but started vacuuming the floor around me at 6pm during service. Odd. I’ll give them a few months to settle in before returning.
