What a wonderful find! This cute cafe has amazing views of the water and is super cute inside. The service was great and the ladies were so friendly. The cake and chai latte were delightful. The fish sandwich was soooooooooo delicious!! This is a great spot to relax, look out over the ocean and enjoy a drink or a bite. Plan to spend more time than usual here. It’s wonderful!

The Wharf Local at Tathra is the perfect venue to meet friends for breakfast (that travelled over an hour). The display of pastries is evidence of the effort put into keeping customers happy. Although the historic wharf is actively being refurbished, it doesn’t take away from the whole experience. Many places to sit to admire the view or watch those with greater patience trying to catch their next flathead. Looking forward to returning when the wharf is back on deck .

In many ways this is the perfect place to have lunch – delicious food set amongst rustic chic furniture with magnificent wharf and water views. It’s a sublime experience. The service was friendly but I felt that they got a bit overwhelmed during peak times so there was a delay in finally getting our meal. Yes, their system could be a bit more efficient but I also felt they were genuinely trying to produce food of high quality so my advice is: relax. Give yourself (and the cafe) a bit of extra time, find a cosy spot and imbibe the views (or take a peak at the ceramics and art for sale) and your order will come in no time ✨

Special find. We ordered the reuben, the cauliflower cheese croissant, ham and cheese toastie, dessert and coffees. Every detail in the food was thought through and delicious. Even the garnish rocket leaves and oregano leaves were fresh and just right. The space is understaffed and the staff apologized in advance for the delay in the order. The view of the sea and the fishermen makes it all the more special. I also bought a card from the gift shop, which had many nice ceramics. It’s a local, friendly, community-based space. I hope they keep up the good work and find the right staff to keep going.

Under renovation so restricted access but super cute little café with homemade bread and croissants. Very inviting to have a tasty break with a wonderful view over the beach and the ocean. Take time to stop there, the staff is very welcoming too.

Hard to describe the meal at this cafe but just to say, the meal is unique and wonderful. Previous reviews suggest that waiting time is a bit long. If you consider this and are prepared to wait for your lunch meal, you wont be disappointed. The view from over the wharf is stunning.

I loved this place, stock Honorbread which was terrific, but the toasties were next-level moreish. Highly recommended for a morning brunch.

Nice café with an amazing view, great décor and great bakes. We were also lucky to sight a pod of dolphins passing close to the dock.

Delicious large assortment of fresh pastries, a vegetarian brunch bowl, fresh juices, smoothies and coffee. Friendly, accomodating and knowledgeable staff and welcoming interior. They work long hours to provide the freshest and delicious range of wholesome foods available on their menu and go above and beyond to even serve you out on the wharf when fishing. Gluten free options are also available. We always come here when in Tathra and highly recommend everyone do the same, a must when in town.

Lovely location amazing cafe setting a building that is very rustic and full of old charm. Hosts a museum in the first floor and the cafe is down below. I will say the menu is limited but still adequate even for the surroundings and a coffee it is relaxing, definitely a must visit for those visiting Tathra.
