Excellent food & great service. Lucky we booked for a Saturday night as it was full when we got there. Prices are reasonable too. Have been there both times we have stayed at Halls Gap and will definitely go again.

Really lovely meals, affordable prices, super helpful staff, great ambience and intimate location. The service can be a little slow, but that is due to there being only 1 person in the kitchen. The chef is lovely, so wonderfully helpful. I am vegan and she went out of her way to assist me and create meals off menu so that I had something to eat. The dinners are really good. The breakfast is a little meager – tasty, but you do not get much for your money (breakfast only, can not complain about the dinners at all). Would definitely go back here for dinner!

We ate there on Friday night the 14/07/2023. Wendy was our server and she was the best server we had over the 4 nights we stayed in Halls Gap. I had the lamb shanks my wife the steak and they were awesome. Totally recommend

Ordered the big breakfast. It wasn’t big but it was nice… Very ordinary food presented well: one rasher bacon, one sausage, hash brown, beans, two eggs on a grilled piece of bread. The breakfast does come with the continental buffet- cereals, toast, fruit salad, yoghurt, juice, tea and coffee so the value is there. The restaurant does have great views of the mountains and wildlife. Not as fancy as it might be trying to be but a good place attached to the hotel.

We had the Garlic Prawns and the Rib Eye with Vegies, both dishes were tasty and well presented.

We came here because nothing else appeared to be open in Halls Gap.

Very disappointed with the service. We order the fish of the day. We were told it’s dairy free but it came with veggies that had butter all over. They kept replacing the veggies but we found butter every time . The fish had no flavour and half way through we found that it was not cooked in the middle . We had to return the dish.

Had a few meals in this restaurant over a long weekend, and they all had one thing in common: they were delicious. Friendly, helpful manager and a lovely setting too.

Hmmm not sure what Shannon’s talking about, it’s not an intimate location and doesn’t have great ambience, it’s a little like dining at a bunnings Cafe although the views are great but the most important thing is the food was not good. 3 of our party had the pork belly which was dry, over cooked and tough, the crackling being non existent. I had the lamb shanks which was well cooked but just no flavour. The deserts also lacked any taste, I think they were those Coles type things although apparently the sticky date pudding was nice.
