The coffee is great but the pies are terrible. Too much pastry which looked and tasted uncooked. We had 3 different pies which had the same meat filling with the only difference being curry or cheese. Don’t say, it’s steak and cheese when it’s all mince.

2 stars for nice backyard with small playground for kids. Personally I cannot enjoy to eat too sweet, sugar taste bread. And couldn’t taste other than sugar from almond croissant and hotcross bun. Almond croissant could’ve had more flavour but not. This place thou has been loved locally, quite historical bakery worth to visit to see old time classic design inside and sit outside backyard.

Service, quality and meal options have slightly all gone into decline over the years. The staples are ok but the pies are not as good as they once were. It’s lost some of the shine from the years gone by but it certainly can be returned with some extra care on the food. Will revise in the next 12 months. I really hope they sharpen it up because it’s an institution in Portarlington and I do like it.

This place is the best when it comes to dining in our takeaway. Everything is made on premise and it has so much good food. From breakfast to lunch or take home bread, cakes, hot foods, pies, sausage rolls, baguettes, foccaccias, and even free-range eggs.

The staff and service are spot on. There is a great selection of either savory or sweet food. The hot drinks were perfect. The apricot Danish was delicious as was the vanilla slices. Well worth visiting for a bite to eat.

Favourite place on the Bellarine for a good coffee and freshly baked goods. Especially love the playground at the back surrounded by beautiful garden and toys for the kids are amazing to keep them entertained. Staff are always wonderful, acceptional value, and perfect location, couldn’t recommend more!
