I have been to several Thai restaurants with different tastes. At this restaurant, I had the opportunity to experience a different style of Thai cuisine as well. The dishes are delicious and eye-catching, although one dish is quite salty compared to other places and today’s rice is unfortunately not cooked thoroughly. However, in return, the staff is friendly, enthusiastic, and welcoming. The restaurant is spacious and cozy.

Fantastic food for the four of us. Lovely friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, relaxing, easy parking . I had roasted duck with red curry which was delicious and a generous serving, with rice. North Adelaide is a great place to meet nice and central. Heartedly recommend this popular intimate restaurant to everyone.

The food at Regent Thai was absolutely delicious when visited back in November 2022. We had pork spring rolls and battered prawns to start, the prawns were very succulent. For mains we shared the Basil Beef Stir Fry and Red Chicken Curry with jasmine rice. The red curry was possible the best Thai food I have ever had anywhere.

Wanting to be romantic, I thought I’d take my Thai lady friend to Regent Thai for dinner to share an entree and a mains. Both of us are trying to save money and lose weight, however we were told we had to spend a minimum of $25 each! We were not notified of this before ordering and felt like we had to order a plate we didn’t really want. My friend is half my size and there was no way she could eat $25 worth of food! Who comes up with these crazy ideas? From my observations the waiting staff seemed under pressure to clear tables and were hovering around waiting to swoop up our plates like seagulls at the beach. No doubt someone higher up was cracking the whip! I also felt that we were under pressure to finish eating within a certain time which is not the most relaxing feeling. We found the beef salad to be too spicy and sour. The other dishes we had were good. Good food overall.

O’Connell Street in North Adelaide has many delights. Just getting into Adelaide from Melbourne, we were spoilt for choice. Finally deciding on Regent Thai, we were not disappointed. Pandam chicken for entree with a sweet yet salty sauce followed by Basil Chicken in a sweet chilli jam and Red Beef Curry for mains which were extremely generous. Accompanied by steamed jasmine rice and servings of roti. Meals were excellent and service was quick and sharp. It hard to provide a review based on a first visit but it was really good. Just so tempted to score them 5 stars!! There seemed to be quite a few regulars present and the food that went back to the kitchen went home with customers. Excellent.

Oh wow!!!! The best authentic Thai food in Adelaide. Every dish we ordered was just amazing. The atmosphere is 5 star, the food is 5 star and the staff are so friendly and professional. The owner Mr T is such a beautiful kind soul who takes alot of pride in the dishes he serves. This is a must try restaurant, believe me you won’t be disappointed. I will definately be going back and letting all my friends and family know about this amazing place… Thankyou Mr T and your amazing staff
