Great place down at Mornington peninsula direction, Tootgarook to be precise. What? It is just before Rye. I need to grab a quick lunch before continuing my trip and love this place. Order the Double patty cheeseburger, it has to be one of the best I have had for a while. T And the chip ! Great chips! he latte was also good too. Great and friendly service.

We always have coffee here and tonight took the family for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the Pork Belly and Jamaican Chicken, the children loved their meals and the chips were very crunchy which is always a win in the family.

We drove past the lovely cafe and attracted by their appearance and popularity, then decided to visit the place for takeaway coffee. When we arrived and observed the foods and atmosphere we changed ideas again and started to order brunches. The foods were so tasty and amazing that made us want to back for dinners

Tried out The Kitchen and really liked it! Place has enough tables and chairs both in and out with ample parking space as well. Only complaint is that when it’s full, as the case when we went there, it can get noisy so it’s a bit hard to understand each other. I reckon due to the tables being a bit closer to each other.

We went here for brunch. I had the big Benny without the hollandaise sauce. Reading the menu I wasn’t sure if the meal was supposed to be a big breakfast with a hollandaise sauce. If it was a big breakfast, i.e. the name big Benny, there was only one small piece of bacon, small amount of mushrooms, small piece of chorizo and 1/4 tomato. It was nice to have a variety of mushrooms and not just the button mushrooms. My toast was soggy so it was unpleasant to eat. Other places I have eaten at, the big breakfasts are twice the size. I understand prices are going up. Very little food for a big breakfast. My eggs were poached beautifully. A huge shout out to the menu choices for the variety of gluten free and dairy free options, for both breakfast and lunch. My first coffee was amazing, I asked for an extra shot, the coffee has a smokey taste to it, and it’s very smooth. My second coffee, I asked the guy for the same as my first. I repeated the order to him and he still got it wrong. I didn’t get the extra shot. I did mention to him, that he should write it down, he said he would remember. When I went to pay I saw my second coffee had no extra shot. When I paid the guy did take off the extra shot for my wife’s coffee. The staff were friendly and willing to chat. The atmosphere was modern, yet you could see history within the place. We don’t live local, we will take the drive down to eat there again.

Beautiful interiors. Good food. Curry was a bit sweet to my taste but still delicious. Servings are huge so you can share and try out more dishes!

Came here after seeing the good reviews. Ordered the confit of duck and barramundi. Unfortunately we had to wait over 45 mins for both meals, and when they came out, they really did not take 45 mins to make though it was well presented. Some steamed broccoli, mash with greens, not so lovingly cooked duck leg. People from The Kitchen, what happened? Will it happen again? The manager took the charge for our drink off, but overall I have to say I was disappointed. Such a shame.
