I went into The Hungry Pug after a long day at work, searching to satisfy my burger craving. I had my mind on one thing. My goodness did it exceed my expectations. I ordered a beef burger with chips for an excellent price and what came out was the biggest, juiciest, freshest burger I’ve ever encountered. Even my first bite changed my life. I can’t be passionate enough about this. My only grievance is that I do not live in the vicinity of this joint and I will be forever trying to meet this standard. The staff were also very friendly and clearly attentive to their customers. They also sell local produce, and support the community (have a look at the wall). 10/10 efforts to all involved. Burger craving truly satisfied. Socks = knocked off.

A MASSIVE piece of chocolate brownie defeated me. I hate wasting food but this piece of cake is huge and I just managed to eat half of it. Coffee good. Staff very friendly and keen to please customers.

Been a few times and great food and service each time, regardless of whether it’s quiet or busy. Dirty chai was great, not bitter, nice and hot. Breakfast wrap was delicious, large size. Sweet potato chips hot and fresh. Iced mocha delicious as well, huge serving that lasted me half the day. The calamari and chips and garden salad were HUGE, had to take home to finish but fresh, hot, delicious, and the salad dressing was really really good, fresh and tangy. Thoroughly enjoy coming back here for both the food and the people who work there, the shop is cute and quaint and the atmosphere is great.

It was the best breakfast burger i’ve ever had! Love the crispy bacon and hash brown in the burger. The ice mocha was delicious as well. Friendly staffs here, will come back to try their pies and donuts 😛

What a great little hidden gem, we have a bit of a bias being pug owners though lol! The owners were really friendly, the service was fast and efficient. The menu had lots of tasty options and we had the omelettes which were ok. The coffee was great, the pecan pie and lemon meringue were fresh and deliciously delightful! It’s an eclectic little diner style cafe, with great wall art and a lot of heart.
