Great small little restaurant in Belmont. Despite not being open on Mondays, the owner was happy to still pick up the phone and make our reservation which I was really impressed with. When we got inside the servers were quick and catered to all our needs and had a good understanding of the menu. It took a little bit to get our food but nothing out of the usual. We had a good mix of food and everyone enjoyed it and the serving sizes were just right. Would go back again

I love eating out at Elephant Tusk. The staff are super lovely and always open to providing for dietaries. I am vegan and gluten free and they have a specific menu for these options which makes life so much better. If my partner and I are out of town and eat out at another Thai place when visiting friends and family I always feel like I’m cheating on Elephant Tusk because they are so good to us. I love the front window table which provides a little more privacy but need to book that if you eat there.

Not sure how this restaurant has gotten such high ratings… I’m wondering if we just got them on an off night or if we’ve had such good Thai in the past that we are hard to please? The mild Penang curry was not mild… more medium. Not end of the world. The rice was not very good considering it was meant to be coconut rice. So food was pretty good but we’ve had a lot better. Mainly it was the rice that let them down. Possibly an easy fix?

Very disappointed with our meal last night. It took nearly 45 mins from the time it was picked up by Door Dash till it was delivered to the door. And so it was cold, and the roti bread was as hard as a rock. Soft drinks were forgotten and then when I went to reheat my curry i found a bug hunk of beef with blood vessels coming out of the meat. No thanks! While the staff were apologetic, saying they were busy, and we ended up receiving our drinks about 2 hours after our order went in, the food was inedible! The sight of that meat was nauseating. Sorry, but I will never order from here again. Waste of time and money.

We went to celebrate my partner’s birthday. He loved the pork Tom yum and I had the entree platter. For the mains we shared fried rice and massaman curry. The foods were flavoursome. The portion was good and the cost of the food was reasonable.

Amazing meals, great staff and super authentic tasting. Came here on a whim as we’re on holidays and felt like Thai. As our family is vegan, we ordered online from their vegan menu and were met with amazing meals all round. We got the spring rolls, satay, sweet and sour and fried rice and every dish was delicious and could not be faulted. I’d almost go as far as to say it’s the best Thai I’ve ever had! Just wow!
