Small restaurant with dim ambiance, great for a date. Okonomiyaki was very small, tastes alright. Chicken karaage was also a small portion and not crispy, but the chicken was tender and juicy. Unagi Don was pretty good, except there were a million tiny bones I had to pick out. Egg was cooked to perfection. Steak Don was cooked very nicely but the taste didn’t have a wow factor. Very pricey for what you get. The waitress wasn’t that friendly as well.

A hole in the wall Vietnamese-Japanese eatery in the city. We had the una don and aburi salmon don- it was warm, comforting and delicious! The onset egg was cooked perfectly however was cold (would have preferred it warm). Despite this, we will still return for these rice bowls!

First time here, enjoyed the platter, sashimi was fresh except for scallops. Personall felt price is on high side, I guess its the location.

Definitely worth every penny spent here! The food was served fresh and were all delicious. Very happy with the food served to us. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Keep it up.

The mains were good, but weren’t as good as the entrees. The karaage chicken was so tender it melted. The pumpkin dumpling was good, but the cream sauce it was in was divine. It was almost laksa-esque and it was the best thing. We could have happily ordered an entire bowl of just the sauce. The ambiance is a close, intimate setting, perfect for date nights.

I have always wanted to try Swordman’s Kitchen but never get the chance to (Sunday is my only day off and they don’t open on Sundays). Finally we made it happen on my birthday this year! We made a reservation at 6pm. There weren’t a lot of people when we arrived, but it was fully packed by 7pm.

One of my favourites in the Rundle Street area. Your experience will definitely vary depending on what you get. My personal favourites are the Unagi don for a substantial meal – 8.5/10, the pumpkin dumplings which were surprisingly delicious and had a great creamy balance 9.5/10. A must try if anything.
