I love the new look to the restaurant, always clean unlike most other Asian places. The theme of a hawker centre is certainly there and the location is great. The food is good but I’d like to see more noddles without the seafood and more of some other protein. The hor fun is great but the gravy needs to be more thick. The plum juice is delicious taking me make to my childhood favourite drink.

I like this little place. It offers decent quality meat and good portion sizes for a good price given the location. Better for a quick lunch stop not a group catch-up as the tables are small and it’s crowded. But the menu offers some delicious options

Had our first lunch here today. We ordered Hainan Chicken Rice, Braised Pork Belly and Singapore Laksa. My wife said it tasted authentic, like what she had before in Singapore. Our experience was great and a value for the money. We’ll definitely return when craving kicks in.

I had the hainan chicken rice and it was average. The chicken was lacking flavour, and the rice was glugy.

This was our third visit to Hawker Walker, but first after pandemic, definitely the quality has dropped, and service quality has also dropped. Overall, suggest only the kueh tiaw. It was definitely better couple of years ago. Otherwise go to Nan Yang or Warong, all nearby.

Char kue tiau was incredible delicious, with wok hay..You can’t beat char kue tiau with this wok hay flavor. Hainan chicken rice just ok, rice was too soft. But flavor was great.

Laksa was good, except it would have been better with a different type of noodle. This one’s were too plain and not absorbing much of the brothy flavours. Soy bean milk was very good, very earthy and rustic. Giving that the restaurant is located next to the library, I would assume that students are their main customers. But the price isn’t student friendly at all. That is my only complain.
