Awesome sushi!! Great service, got a table straight away and all the sushi was super fresh. The tuna nigiri was the best, karrage chicken, spicy roll, raw salmon caviar rolls – highly recommend for a sushi fix, not cheap but top quality

Flavours were lacking and staff were not very friendly. A few orders through the app took a very long time to arrive, seems as if they were forgotten because they were instantly served once we eventually asked the status.

Easily one of the best sushi train chains in South Australia! I’ve come here on multiple occasions, and each time they have a new sushi or sashimi that has never been tried before – including kingfish, urchin and scallop. Its a nice feature to see the open kitchen in the centre of the restaurant, which verifies everything is cooked fresh and with strict handling standards. The karaage donburi was hot, crunchy and good value for money as well. Staff are fast and friendly with their service, so you are taken care of.

I had the worst dining experience at a restaurant. Firstly, I went there alone, and there were many people ahead of me. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I decided that I couldn’t wait any longer and requested my food to go, specifically asking for takeout. They instructed me to wait at a table. And then, I waited for an additional 20 minutes. Finally, they brought the food directly to the table without any packaging. Politely, I reminded them that I had requested takeout and kindly asked them to pack it for me. Unfortunately, both the waiter and the kitchen staff displayed a remarkably poor attitude. They insisted that because you took a seat, you showed us you want to eat at the restaurant. Throughout the interaction, their behavior remained consistently rude and unhelpful. Despite my explanation that I had intended to get takeout from the beginning, they continued speak to me that I said I want to eat in there, this action is so ridiculous and unbelievable to me as they completely disregarding my initial request and keep tell me that I wanted eat in, they are not wrong. I even questioned whether there was any difference to them between takeout and dining in, but they showed no willingness to understand or accommodate my preference. Furthermore, when I walked in, the front staff keep speaking Cantonese with other staff, therefore I decided to speak to him in Chinese, and this guy has totally different service attitude to the client who speak mandarin compared with who speak English. Therefore this made me think that if I speak English when I walked in, this worst experience may not happen to me. I went this place and had online order so many times as I am living around there. However after this time I would not go there anymore.

Great experience, this was our third time at a sushi train, but this was the best out of all three, because of great customer service. Young boy who served our table was very freindly and nice, treated us really well.

This was in July 2022. Super long wait and the quality of the food was terrible. We ordered takeaway and the salmon and ikura bowl had a measly amount of both the sashimi and the roe. The chicken katsu in my don was also burnt. In the salmon and ikura bowl, the greens that were given were one strip of lettuce, found under the sashimi. Looked real sad. Will think twice before going back again.

Amazing dining experience with food moving in the slow train. Always excites my little one whose favourites are fried chicken and chocolate mousse!

Needed to wait for a table but once you are in service is quick.

Last night, I ordered via Uber Eats, and three drivers either cancelled the order or left. The patient driver who waited for ages and eventually delivered my order (I tipped him for his poor experience) explained that the restaurant now regularly leaves delivery drivers waiting for a very long time, and does not communicate order ETAs well. In my situation, multiple drivers endured waiting for my simple 3 x item order for almost one hour. When the food arrived, the gyoza were burned. It’s sad to see that the quality and service offering of Sushi Train St Peters seems to have gone down significantly since changes in ownership/staffing, so we will be going elsewhere.
