SumoSalad Sunshine Coast Airport is a top part of the chain and before my flight back to Sydney; I purchased a Fruit Smoothie.

No signage for airport surcharge. Thought I was paying $13.90 and was charged almost $15 for a toasted sandwich.

Can’t rate you highly when you cannot get served before the flight departs in 60mins, no sense of urgency and not enough staff on considering number of people at airport !

I was pretty suspicious of the soggy, limp broccoli. Should’ve trusted my gut. Now my guts are punishing me. Me and my girlfriend are heading into day three of horrible food poisoning with no end in site. Cramps, nausea, fever, and constant bathroom trips. Nearly took her to the hospital yesterday. Don’t ever risk it. Avoid.

Ordered a fruit salad twice – two seperate batches. My daughter spat the watermelon out on both occasions. The syrup poured over the fruit masks the smell of the fruit being off – the smell of the watermelon was putrid. It was transparent which indicates the fruit is old and beginning to ferment! I advised the staff that they should remove the salad to avoid customers getting sick. I did not ask for money back or anything however they continued to serve the off fruit.

I would not give a 1 star rating after our experience on Friday night the 23rd June 2017. Flying to Melbourne for my brothers wedding, Doug was so sick he couldn’t attend the family function on Sunday. Selmonella! Flying home on Sunday night wasn’t pleasant either. Two days off work and still not eating much with no energy. Fortunately for me I had vegetarian! Clean up your act!

Saturday midday. The pre-made salads looked ok from a distance so ordered the “3 salad” box for $11.50. Two were totally inedible, slimy and obviously a day or more old. Being hungry I ate some of the third, a pesto chicken pasta salad, but regretted it for the next 24 hours. Not full blown food poisoning but significant nausea and diarrhoea. Yuk.

Customer service is non-existent. No smiles and a long wait to be served considering no customers other than myself. Went about doing tasks vs serving.

The chicken schnitzel BLT toasted sandwich is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever eaten. I don’t think the chicken had any trace of chicken in it.

The pumpkin soup was really good but more than that, the customer service was excellent thanks to an extremely nice lady who went above and beyond to help me enjoy a no-waste meal ! Thank you !!
