Nestled down the small Melbourne Place laneway in Melbourne’s CBD, Sezar was opened in 2013 by Chef Garen Maskal and his cousins and continues to attract foodies, corporate customers and international visitors in a friendly atmosphere. The menu is designed around Middle Eastern cuisine with modern twists and Armenian flavours. Open six days for lunch and dinner (except Sat. lunch), this bistro style restaurant is an ideal spot for business lunches, casual meals with friends on weekdays or weekends or those wanting to treat themselves to a scrumptious banquet for group bookings. Sezar is also the ideal place for special occasions and private functions.

Two things about this great restaurant. You will not know it’s there, unless you know it’s there and you will not leave hungry. The delicious, buttery hommous was to die for! Served with some delicious bread. The lamb shoulder was, moist, sweet and wonderful. The accompanying red wine was smooth and robust. In fact all the food was delightful. The service was prompt and professional. It was very good value for money. I will definitely be back.

What a beautiful hidden gem, we were seated in the upstairs area and the atmosphere was beautiful. The wait staff were very welcoming and assisted us with making our food and drink choices. I was envious of the food others were getting around us. Highlights were definitely the food: Bastourma and egg, slow roasted lamb, carrots and chips. Definitely highly recommended

Went with some friends to try Armenian food for the first time and was not disappointed. The flavours are phenomenal and the portions are generous. The wine was beyond our expectations, and the staff there were extremely knowledgeable on not only the wines flavours, but on the vineyards themselves.

I’ve been here both for the banquet meal and the pre-theatre meal. The banquet meal is a bit too much food (full to the brim) but delicious! The pre-theatre menu I think gets the portions right. The food is beautifully presented and flavourful. To start, we had the “sausage rolls” which has an egg-nest kind of pastry which was interesting and delicious. The best restaurant I have ever been to. I was visiting from Sydney and quickly visited during my lunch break. Was absolutely blown away by the service and food quality and taste today!!! Both Dom the waitress and the chef were super delightful, I could not thank them enough for an experience I will never forget. Felt like I was having a degustation. Hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Food was phenomenal, thank you!!

Always a fantastic night at Sezar. The food is consistently excellent and you always leave feeling completely satisfied. The lamb ribs are a highlight along with the hummus and bread combo. If I could eat here every day I would be very happy indeed.

Lovely restaurant, great service. We ordered their famous spanner crab manti, we didnt expect it to have a texture like a dumpling but it just melted in your mouth.
