Momo Sukiyaki & Shabu Shabu is a Japanese hot pot cuisine restaurant in Melbourne, which a large pot with broth will be served on table, and diners will add in raw ingredients, such as thinly sliced beef, pork, seafood, vegetables and cook inside the broth. After the ingredients are cooked, dip it into your customised dipping sauce and enjoy!
The differences is the soup, Sukiyaki is much thicker comparing to Shabu Shabu. It is almost like a sauce, sweeter, whereas Shabu Shabu is thinner in consistency, and savoury.

Sukiyaki is one of my favorite Japanese cuisines. We ordered the 69.9 all-you-can-eat set, which includes unlimited servings of premium Wagyu beef at a very reasonable price, and it’s really delicious.

Generous vegetable portions. Cozy ambience and such welcoming staff. Their Sukiyaki soup takes me back straight to Osaka.

Terrible experience for a first time dining here. We booked a table of 4 at around 7:20pm on a saturday. We came early at 7pm and were seated at 7.15pm, waiter is very friendly and attentive. Service was nice but that might be the only thing that’s nice about this place.

Salmon and wasabi is definitely not fresh. Don’t try their shabu shabu or sukiyaki. maybe the Don or noodle is a better choice for this restaurant.

The All You Can Eat is so worth it! The wagyu beef and pork belly is so delicious in the shabu shabu, we were so full!

The food is very fresh and staffs are extremely friendly and enthusiastic. The sauces taste very delicious & they even included a raw egg to dip the meat in. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to try out the authentic Japanese Shabu Shabu experience at a reasonable price.

Inauthentic. We tried the all you can eat shabu2. They only provided 1 pot for 4 people. While service was ok-ish, the quality of the food was not great. Mostly chinese style vegetables and broth was terrible. For $270 ++ we could have great quality steak elsewhere. Asked for chilli and was asked to pay $2. Extremely unimpressed.
