EDIT. ✨✨✨✨✨ 5 STARS EVERY MEAL SINCE DON STARTED COOKING HERE. BEST CHOWDER I’ve had IN 30 YEARS!! Sadly since August he doesn’t cook there anymore. – Past: Ordered the Reef and Beef Friday special and got it medium as requested which is still unexpected in most restaurants in Australia. (Only exception was the $60 Steak at Alex Perrys restaurant at The Crown)

Had a meal last night at this restaurant, chips so many filled plate so over cooked just awful need to clean there oil. Fish on top was not very nice. Later in the evening continual reflex tasting the fish around 12.30pm diarrhea started and went until 3.30am this morning. Still re fluxing the taste of fish. Still feeling very drained will not be going back to the place. Get rid of most of the chips and add a side salad to your plate. Not only looked awful when put on table tasted awful. let most of meal behind.

Nice location, good food. Service still need a bit push of improvement. First time we went, we ordered 2 fillets of red emperor fish and chips – definitely not red emperor what they brought. Second time/chance, I ordered same thing for takeaway and when i got home there was only 1 red emperor fillet (for the price of 2!). Stop looking to butterflies and focus on what you do.

We had a superb lunch today of Reef and Beef from the Friday special menu and had a side of salt and pepper squid. All was fantastic and the restaurant was spotless, bright and comfortable with attentive and friendly smiling staff. Their menu is extensive and prices very reasonable. Will be frequent customers to this really nice place.

Went here for Mother’s day. Had to wait 64 MINUTES for food (which was just simply beer batted fish and chips). When asking the staff about how much longer it was going to take they were extremely rude and offered no apology and just simply said to “wait”. Their explanation when the food finally came was that they were just short-staffed. Management need to roster better as you may save money in the short term but you will lose customers in the long run. Food was average, definietly wasn’t bad but wasn’t amazing either.
