Santa Catarina Minas is a municipality at the heart of Oaxaca, south-west Mexico. The seemingly unconnected parts of saints, martyrs, mines and mezcal, are what makes Santa Catarina Minas the hub of Artisanal mezcals. A mystic and magical alcohol running on river waters, dusty roads and lush mountains, distilled in clay pots, over wood-fire and brick ovens at the light of candles. This sets up the perfect environment for our beloved Santa Catarina.

Went to Santa Catarina for my anniversary with my boyfriend and we were absolutely spoilt – loved the chefs tasting menu and the complimentary tequila shots! Beautiful food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend for a special occasion or just because the food is so tasty 🙂

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant, absolutely fantastic food, really great service and good atmosphere, they had live music which was good, then played songs through speakers, the music choices were a little odd (Abba, pointer sisters 70’s stuff) but it didn’t affect our evening.

Amazing food for both vegetarians and those who prefer seafood/meat. The service was so lovely, friendly and very smart and we hadn’t mentioned we needed to leave early. The refurbishment is totally in sync with the original building right down to the pressed metal ceiling. Highly recommend, we went for pre theatre dinner at 5.30 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Service and atmosphere are great! Went there for a business team dinner and we loved the high quality of the customer service! Octopus tacos and jalapeño margaritas were on point! I would prefer different options for the mains, as these weren’t as tasty. Great also for a romantic dinner as the place it’s quite dark. Thanks all!
