Nice experience for Sunday lunch – very happy with standard of dishes we ordered (coral trout and home made seniors’ lasagne). Good option in Longreach judging by our 4 days there.

Had high hopes for a good feed, after cooking for myself for a couple of weeks. I was to be bitterly disappointed, I was advised to get the rissoles. I was offered an extra rissoles for $3, I paid the extra. After ordering dinner, $25.00, it was time to get a drink. Just for a change, I ordered a pint, $10.50. I know I should have told her to top it up but. I’m not a confrontationalist.. the pint has about twice the surface area of a schooner at the lip so, I estimate, I got less than a schooner. The photo shows the pint after the head went down.

Great meals had the rissoles and chicken. Good size. Had the local chap playing music from the hall of fame. Nice way to finish off the day. Book your table as it gets busy.

Cannot fault the service and the family atmosphere. We ordered the roast which was the special and was advertised with vegetables and gravy. Received the roast a couple of undercooked potatoes and pumpkin and salad.
