Stopped here for lunch on the way to Malden. The coffee was excellent, but that’s not all. My wife had the special Rose Risotto and she said it was the best risotto she has ever had. I had a BLT, but it just tasted like a BLT from out of this world. What a great find. Apart from the food the staff were friendly and very helpful . We couldn’t ask for better.

The place is nice and food is quite good. Unfortunately the service is consistently very very slow. Even simple orders will take ages to get to you. Not a problem if you’re planning on chilling there all day, otherwise pick one of the many other local cafes.

Drove past the Rose cafe thinking it was someone’s house converted to a cafe. Later found out it was the place we were dining at. It was surprisingly kitsch inside and super great service. Our waitresses were really friendly and helpful.

If you walk in here at 12:30 on a Saturday, don’t expect anyone to pay any attention to you, whilst you’re waiting for over 5 minutes, for someone to seat you, when the sign says ‘please wait to be seated’. Easier to find a more accommodating venue eg. Old Kilmore Gaol cafe. $120 gone elsewhere
