We came here because the online reviews and photos looked great. However, we were ultimately disappointed with the food we were served. One meal came out well before the other, and was finished before the other arrived. The duck itself was tasty, but it was a very small portion for the price and I’m almost certain the advertised “berry jus” was warmed up strawberry jam. The steak was a bad cut, filled with sinew and was very difficult to eat. Not to mention, it was just the steak and chimmichurri on the plate. We paid $12 for a small side salad and $10 for a bowl of chips, on top of the already expensive steak. It filled our bellies after a long day of travel, but I can’t imagine going back for the food.

We just had a seriously delicious dinner at Ritzys! The mushroom and blue cheese arancini were epic, as were the oysters, potato bravos, calamari, olives and breads. The kids meals were generous too. The bar staff can make any cocktail. Great staff, super friendly and inviting. We come here every few years from Melbourne and Ritzys is always on the list

We couldn’t ask for a better experience in Merimbula. The food was spectacular! The cocktails, amazing! Better still, was being able to sit back with the owner and bar staff at the end of our night and humbly chat about our lives. A great vibe and strongly encourage any traveller to dine in! Enjoy!

It has been at least 5 years between visits to Merimbula and Ritzy was our first stop for dinner. The food seem to be even better than what i remembered. Of course being in Merimbula we started with some local oysters. As consistent with every tapas dish thereafter, the incredients were top shelf and meticulously prepared. I also loved the japanese influence in many of the dishes. They also have a solid drinks list to pair up the food. The service was prompt and efficient which to me is a plus as well.

We just had a really first rate delicious dinner! The oysters were plump juicy and so fresh, the mushroom and blue cheese arancini were to want seconds, the potato bravas a delight, the salt’s pepper squid mouthwatering, the affogato was a perfect closer. The staff were friendly and inviting. We will come here again for sure!

The dinner was fine and the staff was friendly. But, the dessert was amazing! They had some wonderful looking ice cream, which tasted very good and the chocolate tart was great.

We had the tasting board and the softshell crab, overall not bad just a bit heavy due to most food being deep fried – mussels were deep fried too, an interesting way to cook it but not sure if it’s a good way; the cured trout taste better without the green apple tapioca – tastes like kids toothpaste; olives are quite sour (citron marinated). The highlight of the tasting board is the sweet potato, it is yummy. Softshell crab is tasty too.

Absolutely loved this wine and tapas bar! Lovely and attentive staff serving tasty food. We ate everything too quickly to snap pictures but here is the scallops with leek, kale and a delicious parsnip purée. I also had the pomegranate margarita which was a refreshing treat for a marg lover like me.
