I’ve Been to nearly every Indian restaurant on the coast and bay leaf would have to be in the top three in terms of taste and quality of the food. The butter chicken is my go to and it’s absolutely bursting with flavour. The vegetable samosas are crunchy and dipped in the chutney sauce is to absolute die for. The cheese and garlic naan is also very well done and isn’t a dry cardboard mess like most places. Always great service and very friendly people. Nothing better than a meal bursting with flavour after a hard days work and you don’t feel like cooking.

Definitely didn’t stick to time frames. Was way over quoted time. Food warm not hot definitely didn’t taste like it was made fresh. I ordered the regular size and main fish dish had 4 small pieces of fish in a soup of sauce, butter chicken had 4 small 2cm sized cubes of chicken?? Again in a soup of sauce. Miss India served better food in their bain marie….shame I read the reviews first. To all those people who said best curry ever tasted need to get out alot more. Definitely under rated. $64.00 I will never get back.

Sharing this review concerning management. Very bad experience at bay leaf due to disrespectful service. Their customer service is not up to standard and is atrocious to say the least. Both owners confronted me about a private issue that concerned their staff. However, continued to target me while raising their voices while a customer was waiting to be served. Very toxic work environment for young adults. Would NOT recommend!

Ordered 4x meals plus entrees, 3x large rices and a couple drinks. Food was ready within 20 minutes. Old mate working was friendly and patient while we tried to find the right card to pay food was SO GOOD once we got home.

Sorry it hurt to give this rating, but the food is genuinely not great. I keep trying it because it’s local, but I find the meat to be dry, I could hear the microwave ding for the rice, and the naan was rubbery and chewy.
