I’ve wanted to go to Rebel Rebel for a long time, and we finally went. I can say the atmosphere and the service were impeccable and I expected it to be so. We ordered the set menu and I can say that the food was generally delicious and well presented. The only flaw I could find was the grilled shrimp. I found it overcooked and tasteless, but everything else was delicious. The ice cream was terrific.

We ordered all-in set menu for $90pp, and it’s so worth it. Every dish is amazing. Very fresh sauce, ingredients and creative recipes. We were surprised by the tender beef tongue sandwich, fresh mayo fries(I don’t usually like fried food but it’s so tasty!), beef tartar was amazing, and the cauliflower tastes so differently it almost taste like meat.

We ordered eggplant , grilled prawns, lamb chops, snapper crudo, rib eye beef, chips and lemon lime bitters. To be honest there is not a single dish that I would want to return for and this is the first time in my life I refused to have a dessert. Food is bland and overpriced, beef was of a cheap quality, lemon lime bitters tasted very strange. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place . Service was very average, atmosphere more of a cafe than a restaurant.

Overall, Rebel Rebel is a standout restaurant in Canberra, and one that I would highly recommend to anyone who appreciates exceptional cuisine and a stylish atmosphere. The service was also exceptional, with friendly and knowledgeable staff who made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I can confidently say that this was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, and I can’t wait to come back and try more of the innovative dishes on offer.
